6’ 4” here. With hard back sports seats. Feels snug but never feels cramped. I have the seat in the perfect position, even on long trips all good.

Consider ULEZ issues on older cars.

Wind up a bit at a time…then leave and wind some more. Then you’ll hear a bang and that it’s off. Protect your windscreen 👍

My 987.1 Boxster S
MOT’d yesterday by a renowned specialist.
No advisories and a “fabulous example” I quote!

I’ve had the intermittent depress clutch flash up before starting even when I’ve depressed the clutch pedal.
The clutch switch seems the most likely culprit!
it’s pretty cramped under there - ducting in the way etc.
Any good methods on how to do it appreciated!
Thanks!

My plate is 3x2 so I had it made slightly shorter to fit inside the plinth.
if you’re worried about overhang just get your plate guy to make it a bit shorter! 👍

Fair enough 😄
Have you noticed any difference?

Fitted front strut braces.
Thanks to beaks for his how to.

I would let your insurance company know you’ve done this. The reason is a side impact with a strut brace fitted can do more damage than without having one.

Do you have records that show what is in there already?
Mine has a receipt that show "red" antifreeze was used after the coolant pipes were changed, so that's what I used to re-fill after changing the water pump.
I’ll need to check 👍

Textar are the genuine Porsche supplier if you want to avoid Porsch tax by getting them in a box with Porsche printed on it.
And they are excellent - I use Brembo discs with Textar pads.

I got this sorted by pressing the one button I’ve never pressed! It looked like the arrow was pointing at the chest when in fact it was pointing upwards!! Choice of cool or warm air to the windscreen…. D’oh!!!

Upper vents button blows hot or cold on the horizontal dash vents

Yes it is. The research is probably worthwhile 🤣 I’ve got other cars so will grab one of those 🤣🤣👍

Thanks Paul, that’s super helpful. I’ll take a look at all that. 👍👍

Hi everyone, my car is equipped with option 601 Xenon headlights. I’m trying to source the correct spare bulbs and a general spare bulb kit for other lights.
I’m usually pretty good with sourcing all sorts of parts but I’m finding it tricky to be sure I’m finding the right ones!
Any pointers / links appreciated!
Thanks 👍 -
The crazy 911 market is pulling the Boxster up in price too. The days of a cheap 911 have gone and for decent well specced and maintained Boxsters they are going to start the shift upwards.

Eco = ac off, So compressor doesn’t run.
if you are selecting demist seems reasonable to me that the car tries its best to clear the screen. So hot seems appropriate. Pretty sure other cars I have driven do similar - run the fan high. Push all the airflow to the screen, make it hot.
what happens if you select the “upper” option on the airflow direction rather than demist?
I’ll need to check that, appreciate your info. 👍

Am I doing something wrong here…when I select demist on the windscreen it only blows hot air. No matter if I turn the temperature down.
it blows hot and cold everywhere else.
Does having the ECO setting on make a difference? Should the AC be engaged for the windscreen?
Thanks 👍

Take a look at your coolant level and if that hasn’t changed it’s likely the other things mentioned. 👍

Mot today-
failed lol but not the end of the world
lambda reading high(due to my blowy exhaust-new one going on at weekend anyway)
Small brake pipes from the rear callipers rusty, and a broken spring.
first mot I’ve put it through in my ownership -so I’m pleased there’s nothing drastic wrong with it
What exhaust are you replacing with?

Thanks for suggestion. 👍👍

Cleaned out the drain holes. All clear anyway.
