Long time lurker with not a lot to add so I generally just read.

about to attempt to replace the above on my 02s.

can anyone tell what parts i need to get so when I crack into it I get it one over the course of a day…

Brodit pro clip and then the right holder for your phone 

You will still need an adapter try dynamic sounds but it is an easy swap over I did it to a double din but did not add dab 

Try dynamic sounds or car audio direct if you tell them what you have and are trying to do they should be able to help - you will probably need images of your current connections 

Fitted a double din head unit - first bit of work I have needed to do, went well happy with the result
