I am very pleased to have finally added a beautiful mellow yellow 981 alongside my Macan S, courtesy of a very nice gentleman of this Parish. 

Mr MooSpeed very kindly let me take ownership of his well specced and immaculate yellow 981 on Friday and I couldn't be more pleased,  ...  except for being the cause of Mrs MooSpeed's miffness.  

It was a long traffic filled drive back to Norfolk but with the top down for almost the whole journey it was well worth it.  

I've been out to play in it today and have been in demand with giving our two boys and my wife passenger rides run along the NDR (Norwich half ring road, don't ask !) 

I couldn't have asked for a more decent, helpful and patient person to do business with, .. I'm looking forward to many years stewardship of this terrific little car  and I wish you very good health to enjoy your new purchase. 👍

Thanks Moonshine, is the description Sports seats and Sports seats Plus just related to the 981 ?  ...  in another thread Paul P (of this parish 🙂 ) kindly helped me with a similar query on another thread related to 986/987.

  The sales guy was very friendly, ... he confirmed no DAB or bi-xenons, ...  also the ad says Sports seats but (even as a non expert) I don't think they are.? ...  and it says sports exhaust but shouldn't there be a button in the centre console for them ?

 I just saw this car on Autotrader that looks too good to be true, the spec, 1 owner, FPSH, good mileage and price ... BUT no pictures, does anyone know this dealer or car ?

Thanks Paul, I'm in Norfolk, .. I'm in the PCGB and  we attended a local club event recently  (for the first time in the 2 years ) I was worried it was going to be bit snooty because I was bringing a Macan to a sports car gathering, but it definitely wasn't, everyone was very friendly especially our regional organisers. 

There was quite a few Boxsters there but I didn't think about the seat question at that time,  I will at the next one.

Thanks for all your replies, very helpful;   ...  its making me think more about sport Chrono 🤔, I have it on my Macan and use it a lot at busy junctions, roundabouts etc.

 Also it also looks like Bi-xenon will get added the list, .. I have LEDs on my Macan and they are terrific, it'd be a shame to go back to Lucas Prince of Darkness days 🙁

TerryG you've also got me thinking about Sports seats versus "comfort' seats ...  I'm not slim probably just over 17st and 6' 2" ... somebody else advised me that sports seats were more comfortable, and not to go for electric (adjustment) because the gubbins takes up room you can use to slide back or tilt ? 

Bike Loon you're right a 987 won't be like the 992 and GT3 I drove,  but it's as near as I'm going to get (be allowed 😜) as a second car, ... although having said that my last bike ( currently selling) is a Harley Davidson so ..... 🤔

The main thing is I'm not in a hurry so I can be patient for the right car.

I am in the process of moving from a lifetime of motorbikes as my "fun" transport to buying a Boxster, ..

I've always liked the look of Porsche sports cars and was lucky enough recently to drive a couple of late model 911s ... I was completely blown away, I didn't realise something that accelerated as fast as my bike could also fly round corners and stop on a sixpence,  it was like I'd just been introduced to a new drug !  😵‍💫 ...

But as I've recently bought a 2021 Macan S and specced it up a lot to exactly what I wanted, a 911 is definitely not in the budget.  The Macan S is a keeper a really fantastic "do it all" car, but a bit big to be "fun" transport. 

So Ive been lurking on here for a while soaking up the "wisdom" 🤓 as well as looking in person at a few Boxsters in (non Porsche) dealers.  I think I've finally decided which model is coming out on top and my preferred spec; ...  I would be happy for any comments or observations,  ..   the bike has just gone up for sale so the search has now moved into a new gear, fingers crossed on a quick sale. 

I am thinking about a 987.2 3.4 OR 2.9 with PDK (I like autos and don't fancy going back to a manual again after more than 20 years)...   

• Heated Seats
• Park Assist
• Air Conditioning

Nice to have would be upgraded headlights ( Bi xenon?) , Sport Chrono package, PASM ....  am I also correct that some cars could have been specced from new with PASM, and or traction control, LSD ?  Budget would be about £20k'sh. 

Any (sensible) advice will be gratefully received.

Hi Wish, ... as a Macan 3.0 owner unfortunately I can't tell you how good the 2.0 engine might be, but the car itself is a great place to be in;  ...  but if it is a cheaper version you're after, some friends have had the diesel model and speak very highly about it. 

... I know it's not strictly Porsche but I do have some ownership experience on the difference between the BMW 3.0 and 2.0 engines and the x5,  the 2.0 litre isn't a patch on the 3.0 and in my personal opinion I think the Macan is an all round better car than an x5. 

I have a 2021 Macan S as my daily driver, shopping, commuting, trips to the tip, bicycle transporter a perfect (pretty fast) jack of all trades  🙂 and my plan now is to hang up my helmet, gloves and boots and switch over from a lifetime of motorbikes and buy a (long lusted after) Porsche Boxster as a Macan stable mate.
