A couple of times I've noticed that my car doors lock themselves. At first I thought I must have accidentally pressed the button in my pocket but twice now the keys have been put down and the doors have locked. Is that normal?

Thanks. The CD button is working now. It just has only seen the multichanger three times. It selects it for about 20 secs then there's a loud pop, like a fuse blowing. Then the radio restarts and it doesn't see the multichanger.

Thanks George. It tripped out again yesterday, as if a fuse has blown. So it sounds like it could well be the same issue. Are you referring to the pcb at the front of the head unit? Any photos would be most welcome.

Has anybody got the CDR23 with the CD changer? Can you confirm that you don't have a green plug in the back of the head unit? Ta.
Also, is it normal to have a two wire connector under the drivers seat that's not plugged in to anything?

New coil packs and O/S upper strut mount have gone in this week.

Do you mind me asking how much this solution will end up costing you?

I went to my local dealer in Solihull and registered about two weeks ago. I haven't heard anything since.

Update, whilst driving yesterday the unit switched to CD Multichanger mode for around 30secs. I was so happy. Then the whole unit powered down and restarted. Hasn't worked since.
So, what would cause this? Wiring, head unit, control unit? I haven't a clue.
I guess the only way I could find out would be to swap the items for known working ones but I would need to get them programmed by the Porsche dealer each time. What a pain.

Do these have the optical out?

Do you have a link?

Got the radio back today. Fitted it. The CD button now works.
But, still can't get it to switch over to the CD changer. 😔
Phone bluetooths to the Mr12volt. Don't know what to do now.

It cost £100 for the repair and £13 for postage. If he can't fix it there is no charge.

Just had a call from Dave at DND. The problem was the corroded circuit board. He has repaired it and is posting it back. I hope that's it all working now. Thanks for everyone's input. 😊

I emailed the form on Friday but not had a reply. Thought I might get a confirmation of receipt or something. Is that normal?

It hasn't worked since I've had the car. The Porsche dealer confirmed it was programmed to the car. Pretty certain it's the button on the head unit.

Update, single CD drive in the head unit is working.
I've found out that I can only get it in CD mode by inserting a CD into the slot. If I then select FM pressing the CD button doesn't do anything. So I'm guessing that the CD button is faulty.

I'm in the Midlands so used this guy after my brother recommended him.

My blue tooth adapter connects to aux from the CDR22. Do you have an aux option? There was a set- up process to enable it. it works very well but doesn’t have track skip.
the continental is an excellent unit but the wiring adapter has to be suitable. Thanks, the Cdr23 doesn't have the AUX option sadly. I went to Halfords and got some electrical contact cleaner. Stripped and cleanef the head unit but still the same.
I think I will post it to DND Services in Devon as they have said they might be able to fix it.

Maybe pull the cdr out and have a spray around with contact cleaner and check visible wiring etc to see if the cd button can be woken up.
Good idea. I've had it out and managed to get the top and front off. Couldn't see anything obvious. Will need to get some contact cleaner.

I think I'm giving up on it. Looks like I've wasted money on the Mr12volt.

Great thanks. Mines a black two wire connector. I guess it's the seat belt warning. Can't see where it plug in though.
