Fitted LED number plate lamps to replace the Golf/Hella things that must have cost Porsche around 25 cents each.

Now I doubt I need reversing lamps.

This may be a problem for the impending MOT test.

Fixed my broken roof.

Roof decided to self destruct last week. Had to travel 1200 miles with a wonky clamshell and the roof closed.

Anyhow today I replaced 2 roof holdback wire ropes, a ball joint thingy and the real culprit, a roof drive cable.

A bit of a pain getting the drives to synch but after £100 of parts all is good thanks to 9 apart, 911 design and ebay plus 4 hours of my labour.

Next job is a tired front boot release solenoid. I guess replacement is the only option.

What have YOU done to you're 986 today ?

Well I paid for a new clutch and DMF today.

I have had my 2004 2.7 facelift for 10 years now and the clutch started slipping.  The previous clutch was replaced at around 50,000 so this time I had the DMF replaced.

Very happy.  The clutch action is so light and the the whole drivetrain feels like driving a low mileage demo.

10 years of happy Boxster ownership and this was the largest expense.
