  1. I placed my order last August with an anticipated delivery in Q2 this year. I do not have an allocation yet and am -allegedly - currently 3rd in line.

I’m not too fussed if delivery slips to Q3 or 4 but 2023 would be disappointing. Let’s see….

@MH82 My OPC is Porsche Nottingham.

As you say MH82, it's unusual for the original timeframe quoted to be honoured; however there is still plenty of time for the delivery to slip! 😆

Spec-wise, I've gone for the 'full works' as (after making the mistake of selling my 981) I intend for this to be a keeper...

Extended Race-Tex & leather (as I don't like the weave of the CF in the GTS Interior Pkg), PCCBs, 18-way seats, Burmester (Hi-Fi was my 1st love before cars), LED PDLS+, PSP, LDP, folding & auto-dimming mirrors, cruise control, painted roll bars, reversing camera, Lane-change assist, HomeLink (to control a Cargraphics exhaust valve controller), Entry & Drive (keyless entry), 2-zone climate control, Heated multifunction steering wheel, ISOFIX, Race-Tex visors, leather seat backrests (as the silver plastic doesn't look great IMHO) & leather steering column, yellow seat belts (to match the PCCBs), illuminated stainless-steel Door sill guards, and a few other bits & bobs. (ref. PNYHDDP6).

I don't blame you for wanting a Spyder; I absolutely love them, and my heart was torn between a GTS and a Spyder.  However I intend to use it as a spring/summer daily.  And sadly I would have had to compromise too much with the Spyder, hence ordering the GTS.

Cheers jhemus, It seems as though Q1 allocations are coming through in drips & drabs ever since about 1 month ago; I thought I'd missed out on a Feb-22 build as the OPC said they received have any Boxster GFTS 4.0 allocations for Q1, but then I got the unexpected call :)

That’s a fantastic spec - not much left to tick! Look forward to hearing your first impressions when it arrives in a couple of months. Hopefully mine won’t be too long afterwards.

UPDATE: Just got the call from the dealership today saying that I have been allocated a Feb-22 build slot, with delivery expected beginning of Mar-22 😄

Congratulations! Who is your dealer? I contacted mine yesterday and they told me they do not yet have their Q1 allocations.

I logged on to my configurator this morning and the base price has just gone up by £1260! I guess I'm living in a fantasy world by thinking that those of us who have already put down a deposit will have the original price honoured?

Any change in what’s includes as standard? Or just a p,ain amid simple price rise…

Having done 10,500 miles in GTS4.0 with the proper -20mm suspension I can only say that the softer -10mm would be a huge mistake.
The ride quality with the -20mm is uncannily good. It’s hard to believe than a car that can corner so flatly can ride so well with no harshness.
The -10mm option will lose so much of the poise and precision that makes these cars so good. I’m sure they only have it as an option to please Americans.

when speccing your car don’t do it. You’ll regret it.

Interesting. As it stands, I’ve specified -10 on the basis that x73 is definitively too hard for me and I don’t want to end up with a car that gives me back ache (I’ve done that before). It’s going to be a tough call.

I just ordered one with delivery q1 2023

Seen a couple up for sale on approved used, 2 manual and one pdk

Just taken a look at the three on the approved use site: the one with delivery miles is up for £89k!! Looks like they’re charging a premium over list as I can’t see the options adding up to almost £20k.

  7. I have specced the -10mm option which I believe means PASM rather than SPASM. I had a Z4 which was way too harsh and I had to sell it after 6 months so I don’t want to make the same mistake again. I’d rather miss out on the last few tenths of handling than take the risk. In reality, I’m sure that either option will be fantastic.

  8. By definition, colours are a very personal thing. There are lots of exterior colours I couldn’t live with that others love.

I had an RS60 in silver with full red interior and I thought it was fabulous. I knew others were less impressed but who cares - it was my car not theirs!

Regarding re-sale, I guess it might take a little longer but there are plenty out there who would happily take it off your hands when the time is right.

The only answer is to view it yourself and make the decision based on how you feel, not on my opinion or anyone else’s.
