    @Wish your thoughts?

I wouldn’t for one second listen to Bike Loon ……. Most assessors wouldn’t notice ??
A true engineer with lots and lots of require qualifications will notice, it’s their job, a job that’s taken many years to obtain, though working in the motor trade.

I would disclose everything. Most won’t matter, it’s when the insurance companies find out is when the shyate hits the fan.

for example wraps, if they are not noted on the policy then the insurer won’t cover the wrap, worst case they could chuck the claim out.
Don’t chance it for a couple of quid ??
use a specialist broker if the car has mods.

@Wish what happened with the low ball offer?

Macans seem to be holding money well?

Miss my GTS model - superb sound and did everything very well!

Never made it @D8EAN the horror stories put me off.
thought I found a decent spec X3 M40i the other day but it had cheep tyres fitted to it and missed its last service with BMW……

  3. I do about. 6,000 per year. I don’t know if it’s worth the gamble. I’m sure I can get in to a BMW m40 for the cost of a Macan.

My old X3 was a 2.0 petrol at 190bhp and was fine as a dog wagon.

I want to own a Macan just don’t know if it want to get back involved with Porsche Service Centres.

I’ve found a 2018 2.0 with a nice spec in grey. Full Porsche history. Might make a low ball and if it comes it comes.

  4. Love the red and blue….. thought I liked the brown but looking again what I like about the brown is the many different shades of brown in the unmixed pot, it’s a red herring on the car it will look like a Austin Princess

  5. S is structural damage  OPC bodyshop rate will be between £50 - £80 per hour.
An Insurance approved Porsche bodyshop will have a prestige rate of around £52 per hour.
or just an approved insurance bodyshop will be around £30.00

I had a little mishap in my Boxster and it didn’t go anywhere near my approved Porsche bodyshop. However I’m in the game so know where to go in my area.

For me to own a CAT S car i would need it to be at least 40% cheaper, have images of the original damage, the engineers report pre and post repairs and the original estimate for the car. Even then I would be cautious and it would still be a world of trouble to sell on.

  6. Oh my … that really is a beautiful thing. Look forward to the build.
can I ask how much the kit costs ?

As for the wheel I like the low profile tyres and the modern twist wheels. It’s individual not a replica of old.
