Still haven’t used the Boxster in a meaningful way, but got a trip to Center Gravity in a couple of weeks and a NC500 trip in June to look forward to. Meanwhile minor fettling carries on, today the wheels were decontaminated, washed, degreased and Gtechnic C5 applied. Carrera Classics, fiddly.

Will be great to hear how the C5 holds up

Definitely worth ringing around too.  Portsmouth and Bournemouth quoted different prices for me.  Had it done at Portsmouth for around £1800, inc Chrome tailpipes.  That was a few years back though.  £2600-2900 sounds obscene

    I emailed 5 OPC. Only 2 replied

    My BGTS is PASM..

I wasn’t trying to be clever just pointing out that sport plus is a drivetrain mode not the suspension mode. I entirely get what you’re saying.

Agreed, but the car sounds great in any of the three modes to be fair.  Even in Normal mode if you give it some beans it's awesome.

Sport + on the road is just too hard, like rock hard!  I have only ever used it for Launch Control a few times otherwise on a dry track only.

You can have the throttle and gear map in sport + and the chassis in normal, I’m sure you know that

Thoughts on this S, apart from PSE looks a good spec and nice condition.

How much difference is the PSE? How much is it to have PSE retro fitted?

I have had two quotes in the last month, one was £2600 the other £2900. As I am not that flush I have brought a second hand exhaust from ebay which I’ll have modified. Won’t be switchable, but hey ho

  6. Do the mounts operate the same on the GTS as on the S with SC? My understanding is the S activates the stuff mounts in sport plus. Is that the same in the GTS or do they activate is say sport suggesting more usage?

Had both my mounts replaced between 30-40K.  Seems a common issue, just like the brake pedal.

Interesting discussion on the failure rate. Touching wood mine is a 2013 car on 55k and pretty sure they’re original

  8. Sorry if this is clear from the thread and I missed it.  Are we saying the dynamic mounts fail more on GTS cars or are we just saying they fail on all cars with them and there are just more on GTS because it is standard equipment?

  9. Thanks @daz05 that gives me a comparison for the effect of the .14 rear bar. The rear is stood up a bit on mine to keep it a bit mobile with the front a little less aggressive so as not to have it too wayward at the rear. I’d like a it a bit sharper at the front and so rather than change to geo I thought I’d either try the .14 bar or put 5 or 7mm spacers on the front

Nice one Lofi, your parts guy may be able to get 10% off those rates but don't think about the cost upfront it's easy to remove and sell on when you are done.

Love the look. Other bits ahead of this on the list though

Fitted a Joyeauto Apple CarPlay kit today. Around 3 hours to fit and a brilliant upgrade to the outdated PCM. Highly recommend it

Did you order direct from Joyeauto in China or NMAutomotive? If from China did you get stung for duty?
