@GmanB, that is a Westfield , 15 years old, chap I bought it off gave up, its complete and runs but needs rebuilding to pass the IVA test, probably a 2 year project

Having moved house 8 weeks ago and in the process gaining a double garage I finally got round to giving the S an oil change and polish, not a bad shine for a 19 year old. Ready for what looks like a great weekend, could be last good bit of sun, make the most of it all

Fixed the wiper delay thanks to @Richard Hamilton posting me a spare relay, that combined with a bent pin on the potentiometer straightened out has fixed an issue that’s been bugging me.

Also renewed insurance via Adrian Flux who were considerably cheaper than companies who advertise in the PCGB magazine supposedly offering PCGB members discounts, may be true if your car is stock and driven less than 3000 miles a year...

My 986 came with this one, no idea who the manufacturer is, any ideas? It bolts directly to the lifters

Wheel shimmy at motorway speeds was driving me to distraction, 2 attempts at local tyre centre improved it but still there, started to think worn bushes etc. Read an article on Pistonheads, chap was extolling virtues of a garage that used a Hunter Road Force wheel balancing setup, took my 986s along today, 1.5 hours later done, all wheels were off by some margin , shimmy gone, very pleased with results and would recommend if you have the same issue give it a try before diving into suspension component changes!
