Scr distribution have a centre speaker plug and play https://www.scrdistribution.co.uk/porsche-987-centre-speaker-upgrade-15139-p.asp which I have fitted 5 min job can’t speak high enough of the plug play speakers they supply I have changed all 7 speakers for my ASK system. I’m no audio guru but they sound brilliant and could not believe the difference a new centre speaker made which fitted later after the other 6 and a Ali express head unit even better

I have just bought a 2011 987 Boxster 3.4 S PDK. I cannot get the cruise control to engage but it might just be me! It seems to me like the button on the end of the stalk is stuck in? It is pretty well flush and feels solid. Is it a known problem? Can anyone put a photo up showing how far it should protrude so I can compare it to mine, or if there is anyone in central Lancs I could meet up with to have a quick look. I am hoping it will be covered under warranty if it is actually u/s.
Thanks
Stan
don't know if your still looking ebay has a stalk as part of whole assy which may help you out if still need the part or any one wanting to fit cruise control https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134357992663?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=qsDhbaWlRqO&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=JtQpJR0YSOq&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

I agree with Del and Jonsta the car just feels better in the front nothing massive just more positive, definitely not a negative for the low price and quick to modify

New window switch purchased and once again local OPC £30.00 cheaper than online parts suppliers required with Porsche club discount.
Always check your local OPC when searching for prices and a excuse to have a look around

That looks good, how much of a ballache was the sewing? Is it easy to mess it up? How long did it take you?
Also, when you go to order and it says ‘bulge’ does that mean it gives you the option to add or it’s to provide extra material for cara that already do?
cheers
nark
It does take time about two hours for me due to learning curve not to easy to mess up once you have started the instructions are good also found you tube videos to help. The bulge I’m not sure about as mine 987 wheel does have a bulge I ordered without I don’t know if they supply the bulge. Great satisfaction when you’ve done it

Looks great. Do you have a link? I'm interested, on the off chance they have a suitable Grey, which Royal couldn't supply last time I checked.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001699421622.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.79ee1802tIFyza
show them a picture of the design you require they will let you know if it can be done
if you have OCD i don't recommend top dead centre band mine is ever so slightly off centre when going straight but is perfectly aligned to to porsche wheel badge centre annoying

Centre done as well. You can do this in the car if you prefer by pulling the vent out about an inch and then removing the front vent cover but I choose to remove the head unit and work on them out of the car. The electrical connection is easy to disconnect when the head unit is removed which is what stops you removing the vent from the car once it’s released from the dash
Thanks for your write up my next job

Not ruling out a return to 987 ownership but I've taken up golf again since last having one and needing to know if my trolley and bag can fit in the boots. I suspect it might be tight although only one way to find out...
Don't suppose there are any owners in the North East sort of area who'd be kind enough to let me check? I also head down Dundee way most weekends if there's anyone that direction too.

Replaced door handle lining panel which was badly scratch used soldering iron to remove old panel welds, a 1/4 inch drill would do the job also in hindsight
used 3/16 starlock washers and 1/4 inch deep socket to press washers down on new panel locators which is a very secure locking saves using soldering, glue or screws. Then trimmed flush with dremel
starlocks need to be imperial I had metrics sizes but did not fit
starlocks washers off eBay

Throttle cut out?
in 987
Posted
I’ve had the same problem 2005 3.2s triptronic intermittent loss of throttle changed the brake switch solved my problem it’s a cheap go at fixing the problem
I had no brake light problems just note the way you twist the switch to remove to refit switch it’s a bit awkward 😬
