MOT day , 987 Boxster ,Passed with flying colours and emissions straight to green I think the Italian tune up helped 👍.I have only had the car since the summer and done loads of jobs thanks to all the help and tips from this forum, but the first MOT in my ownership was always going to be a little worrying 106k in the clock and all good , The tester noticed a few of the aluminium heat shield retaining bolts were not doing their job as the shield had corroded around the nut,he had some over size star washers that simply went over the existing fitting and did the job so simple (I snapped one trying to sort it lol) I will post a pic later and a part number one of the best hacks for this I have seen ,at least I can spend the MOT reserve fund on a wheel refurb and AC pipe , Great car and forum 👍
Great news, always a relief to get a MOT Pass on a new(ish) to you car.

Lovely car, great garage. I prefer without the stripe.

That looks stunning. I do love the Black Edition's.
If any of you are ever thinking about selling your Black Edition's (ideally mid 2020), let me know!

Hi Phil - what did you use to clean and dye the leather? I need to do the same with my seal grey interior. Thanks.
Hi Matt, I used a car leather cleaner from mitchell and king then I used a re-dy kit by LTT http://lttleathercare.com/product/auto-leather-recolour/ I've left this to dry for 24hrs then I'll appy a proctector over the top. If I was to do it again I'd probably get the kit from LTT. Drop them an email with some photos of your seats and ask their advice I found them very helpful.
Hope that helps

I cleaned the seats and re-dyed the leather, 24 hours to dry means no topless commuting tomorrow. Really happy with the results I hope it lasts.
