@Driyageand that works via Bluetooth is that right?
When I flashed my cluster for pcm4 before I coded everything I was able to create an individual mode which I guess is linked to the rotary dial.
I’m not quite sure if it is Bluetooth(haven’t really dug into it), but the GPS module in the steering wheel and the receiver that plugs into the centre console are pre paired.
Interestingly one thing I’ve noticed is that since fitting my Joyeauto, there’s a slight interference between the wireless CarPlay and the GPS module in the sense that it takes a couple of minutes longer for the rotary dial to register any mode changes. This is probably because my joyeauto unit is pretty much under the steering wheel on the right

For me, the best thing was getting the rotary dial working to set the sports/sports plus mode, otherwise I’d doubt I’ll get the GPS adapter .
It was a bit of an expensive upgrade in total, but for me makes the experience much better not having to look down to change driving modes

Not today, but on Saturday picked up the car after 8 year service and PDAM dynamic mount replacement!

Was that without any advisory too? If so then one does go again I might leave it as it has no impact and I don't use Sports+ often
Yes no advisory on it

Many thanks for posting. Web site doesn't mention doing maps which is strange. Wonder why. Might try them next time a map update is released.
I emailed them and they got back to me pretty quickly confirming they did the maps.

Finally upgraded to the latest maps version.
All done via usb so was was pretty quick (including activation). They were very good with the instructions and support!
If anyone interested, I can post the website I used.

I did this with mine, pretty straightforward, I got the GPS adapter to make the rotary mode selection switch to work as well.
mine wasn’t heated so was simpler. Need a new airbag as well

Bought my K&N from euro when they did some offer (when don’t they do offers .. )

We should compare your software no. as I don't have that issue. Maybe worth an update.
I wish there was a button to turn that on at your leisure. There must be a way, be nice to mod one of the centre console blanks to enable the camera.
Yep definitely, need to check when I pick up the car next time… who know when that would be due to fuel …

There's a UK guy on the thread looking to install in his 981 GT4, looking fwd to his feedback
Have to say I am tempted to get one and install… but house work is taking priority 🙄
@daz05 I keep having to turn on the Front cam from the Joyeauto setup menu as it keeps un-ticking itself after ign off. I’ve done the same as you splitting the 12v wire from joyeauto

I do have a black air bag ( removed mine when upgrading the steering wheel)
I have to say… I do like the red!!

Nice one! Really do like the GT4 lights!
Did you add a separate power source for the front cam? I need to keep turning mine on from Joyeauto every time …
also there’s a new pcm unit that does away with the separate box that the joyeauto has: by isudar (search on ali express)
it seems to get good reviews on the USA side…

Thanks for that, I've not quite so keen on drilling but I'll take a look.
Neither am I, the plastic cover can be replaced (has a part number) hence I went ahead with it. I should have taken a picture when I had it out

Nice work, hard to tell from the pictures but what route have you taken into the cabin from the front end? Is there a small way in by the fuel tank?
Cheers! in my car there was a blank plate just behind the brake booster under the ac lines. Plastic plug that can be pushed out from under the dash from drivers side. I drilled a hole in this to pass the cables through.
I also used 3 way connectors and replaced the phono connection from camera.

Just finished installed the cameras… finally!

Thanks, I think it’s about £1200 to get it done ..
hmm I do wonder if it’s just the plugs that get corroded, wish I could take a look with taking one out

I had this pop up recently just before trip to Wales.. diagnosis tells me it’s the right hand side mount. Seem like the part is the most expensive bit
2014 car which just hit 40k

Porsche sell a housing for the 718 rear cam so if it doesn't last that could be the solution.
I've bought front and rear cams now so will have a play when they arrive. Bought a slightly different one to you.
Ooh I didn’t know that! Do you happen to have a part number handy?
also @robporsche how did you get the wire in from rear cam?

For the front cam did you manage to feed the wire through where the main loom comes into the cabin on the pass side?
Yes that was the idea, I’ve done the pre cabling for the camera from the bumper to the frunk; but haven’t had the time to fully install it.
I am also planning powering them from the joyeauto unit
House moves are terribly inconvenient 😣

Well maybe a bit less… was pretty much instantaneous before the joyeauto
