I’m in the process of doing this, but a house move delayed things and the car is still parked up in the garage in London!
 

I also wired in a front camera when I had the bumper off to replace the AC condensers

Using Parkvision cameras from Amazon

Bit late… but I replaced my hdd with a ssd when I had the pcm out to fit CarPlay. Used clonezilla to clone it and have the original safely stored away

Quick blast down to Whitstable (Sunday) 

That looks spot on! 

Charged up with a Noco battery conditioner ( and installed the cable so I don’t have to use the clips)

I hardy use the navigation, especially since getting CarPlay fitted; but I’ve noticed that the boot up time much quicker

Just got crucial 120GB drive and did full a clone (using clonezilla). Yes you do lose out on ~20GB but saves faffing around getting partition ids correct if you resize

Indeed it has, 100GB one. It's also used to store the maps and Lap times etc etc

well.. a few days ago..

Fitted Joyeauto CarPlay kit, replaced the HDD of the PCM with a SSD whilst I had the PCM Unit out too

Thanks to @RobScott got the rear lights and installed them

I had the sport Design wheel with paddles. Car is 2014 Boxster S with PDK and Sports Chrono.

Just been following the guides here and ordered the Macan wheel off eBay and an airbag and the module from gpsadapter.us.

No coding was needed and I didn’t disconnect the battery (no key in ignition).

All the buttons work and the stalk (now superfluous) and so does the rotary dial to choose sports mode etc.

Changed it yesterday, pretty straightforward job, all in all about 30 minutes!
