Graham BGTS

Booked the 2015 BGTS in for 8 year service in October at OPC Leeds along with the MOT. Current warranty runs until January 24. 

Received a quote today from OPC for the 8 year service on my BGTS which has FPSH and I plan to maintain this. 
 

Service includes brake fluid change, spark plugs, drive belt check and engine mount check and was £955 inc VAT. I don’t think it’s too bad but would welcome thoughts. 

Hi All, Looking to purchase a Macan and it’s either a Gen 1 GTS or Gen 2 S - any thoughts? I think I’ve decided air susp isn’t necessary but defo need the pan roof. 
Advice appreciated.

Good question - it has full PSH but I don’t know about the transfer box. Which models were affected and is it a recall issue. Really grateful for the question.

Silver spyders do look okay on Volcano grey.

Black spyders are a bit of a pain to keep clean, I had Silver spyders on my old S and I remember them being easier to take care of......but GTS to me means it should have black.

It’s Gen 1 with black roof bars. 
 

TBH, I’m wondering whether I should be looking at black rather than volcano grey 🤔although, whilst I love black, I said never again after having a black E92 M3 which was very difficult to keep clean!

Hi, I’ve seen a Macan GTS that I’m thinking about purchasing but have two questions:

- it has all the spec I want apart from air suspension. Is this necessary?

- the RS spyder wheels are silver and I’d prefer black. Is it possible to have these resprayed and any idea of rough cost?

Sapphire Blue is a great colour & I get many favourable comments about my BGTS in that colour. 

I had the roll hoops and side flaps professionally painted in Sapphire Blue for my BGTS and they look really good, I’d definitely recommend colour coding them! 

I always thought the colour was “Carrara” rather than “Carrera”?

Collected my 981 BGTS from Porsche Leeds after it passed its MOT without any advisories! 😁

OPC has recommended a 4 wheel alignment for £150. Any thoughts including places you’d recommend in Leeds or what cost should be?

That’s really helpful thanks. I agree the carmine red would stand out much more - thinking of looking for a trimmer that could do it for me. 

A question if I may regarding the GTS logo on the seat headrests….. when these were colour embroidered as a factory option, what colour would it have been on a sapphire blue car? 
 

I’ve only ever seen red embroidery. 

Returned from an 800 mile vacation in France touring the Loire valley - Boxster GTS was fabulous and faultless, just needs a good clean now! 
 

Hi, The front offside parking sensor on my Boxster GTS is constantly on, I’ve checked for dirt and it’s clean. Has anyone had the same issue and know what the likely cause is? Also is replacement a big or expensive task and do they come painted in body colour (mine is sapphire blue)? The car has Porsche warranty - any chance it may be covered?

I’ve had Porsche discs and pads fitted by an independent and it was fine in warranty renewal. No point paying silly labour rates to fit! 

Thanks for the info - are you able to say which OPC it is? I’m stuck at £1k still. 

When I looked at some BGTS there was degradation to the headlamp units. Is this a common issue and what causes it? 

GT silver is a fantastic colour! Did you get a good deal from them and did you part exchange your car? Enjoy!
