@iborguk it is yes it’s an alpine stereo I was told there’s a bunch of wires behind there if you just take the face off 

Sent you my email address, I’ve hooked up the multimeter just confused as to why it sits on 0.26 and surges up to 9.something and then drops back down and so on never get an accurate reading 

I have disconnected the alarm siren so would that stop it draining the battery or is there a connection from it somewhere else as you said there was a backup battery 

I’ve got a1997 2.5 boxter, got a large drain on the battery I’ve had my multimeter connected up at its drawing 0.26 then every 30 seconds it shoots up to 0.950, pulled all the fuses and disconnected bulbs radios etc any idea what else could be causing the problem
