I do like the look of those grills -
guess pretty functional too?
i seem to spend an awful lot of time hoovering out the leaves and shyatee that accumulate in the front air intakes, readying themselves to rot the rads.... 😂
are they silver, or is it just a reflection of the black mesh?

On a partical hi-jack here (as I can't fine the 'for sale' section)
I've just slashed the price of my Rims with Pilot Sports on the 'bay:
bargain to be had for a brother here if they want 'em?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125923266173
-
actually - I've just realised those are non-S, just painted red aren't they?
same principle - would some S discs & caliper just be a straight swap?
😂

Guys -
have been running round on the larger 19" rims for a few months now - really like the look - a vast improvement aesthetically
downside is through the discs now look like mini-cheddars through the wheels 😂
Is there a stock brake upgrade that can be done (guessing just to S spec?)
Need to have some work done on some corroded brake lines so thinking of making it a 'while you are in there' job and hiding the invoice from my
wifeaccountant... 😂sorry its probably one that been done to death but wouldn't mind some fresh opinions!

do you know what this could be - as in just the product?

You only ever have one black sports car , well I did .Since then I tend to go for light colours silvers , grays , pale blues etc .Call me lazy ……but sooooo much easier to live with .If you analyse it in your ownership history they are only washed , gotten wet a fraction of times compared to black .
I do sympathise with black car uses who aren’t professional drivers.
yeah - but i'm a masochist and love wasting time in multi stage polishing schizz
oddly rewarding when you can hive of the time -

Love Harley's Wax bought two tins in 2010 and still on the first one at 61 will see my Motoring days out.
exactly the same here! -
rusty old tin probably had for 7-8 years, but the product seems totally fine - as befits the nature of what it does! 😂

Which products do you use....great job. Black is such a rewarding colour to detail, until the dust settles.
Haha - yeah - tell me about it!
there is a large hedge right (neighbours) next to my driveway, which has come exotic shrubs.
Look lovely in the summer, but who knows what toxic pollen/discharge thay manage to produce around now, which pretty much sticks to whatever goes anywhere near it!
its tucked up for the night in the garage 😂
Product wise - i did (after a waterless wash & quick going over with the clay bar):
Meguiars Ultimate Compound
SRP
Poorboys Black Hole (this is great on a black car!)
Harley Wax
its just the time!!!

Can I flip this to the same but in Surrey?
I've been tryong to get hold of the place that did my 964 - but they literally neither pick up the phone or answer email!
either a sign of really not needing the business, or they have gone bust!
Hopefully the former

took some time in the nice weather this after to do a full on wash/clay/compound/polish/glaze/wax -
just of one panel 😂
@red rocket if I f**k up the formatting - would you mind doing the usual? ta!
It looks like after some untold number of year - i've finally nailed the posting of picture links 🤣
leave reception of the internet, and onwards into year 1... 😂

Which kit did you use? I did mine with the Auto Glym kit that does not come with a sealant so I use an Armoral UV wipes and they ended up spotting like this too in just a couple of days, even though I made sure the lenses were really clean when applied.
it was a super old one - I only have the sealant left so did the wet & dry and compound 'on the fly' and finished with the orbital polisher
might just try to do them again but get a 'decent' sealant
that one went on like airfix glue!!
😂

So i finally used a kit that i've had for a few year on the front lamps to get rid of that nasty yellowing.
Looked all good for a few weeks
then this seems to have happened?
Some kinda reaction with the treatment chemical? It was a very old kit (c.3 years maybe) but i dont recall seeing a best before or similar on it
any ideas?

resprayed the wiper arms as well 👍

opportunity to clean up under the covers:

So - got this part replaced in the end.
the mounts on either side of the screen had been chewed away over the years and the last screen fitter appears to have mastic'd in the gap where the pressureplate was not keeping it down sufficiently (dont ask....)
chuffed with the outcome - now have a fully ewatertight front end and took the opportunitiy to go the plastics xwith a secret weapon 😂

Most important, get a pool noodle & split it in half long ways. Glue it to the walls where you open the doors to avoid chipping paint on your doors.

Its this head unit:
& it looks like I’ve finally nailed how to insert images!!
whoop whoop! 😂
-
...still have the gremlin that I menionted a few weeks back in that the radio unit is locked on
thankfully - it has normalised in volume a little and tuned itself into radio 1 at least - so not the hideous intermittant & super high volume 'white noise' that it was initialliy...
In the fullness of time i'm gonna replace the head unit with something carplay functional, but for now i'd just like to power it down semi-permanently-
Is there a fuse i can pull to cut power to the stereo, but leave the fans etc. that are on the same panel?
I know their is probably a circuit diagram somewhere, but was hoping one of you learned chaps will know a short cut.
Thanks Guys,
Bergs

Hi Guys -
Someone has dinked my motor -
Slight amount of crazing on the front bumper - just by the numberplate.
Not very visible - but super annoying all the same.
Rang & emailed a local garage for a costing for both - not heard anything back.
It's basalt black - if i did a single - would it look pony?
Full front end, what? a grand?
Any decent paintshops Surrey / SW london that you guys have udes?
Cheers Y'all
