eteece
Just been calling around for insurance as mine is up for renewal shortly. I am shocked at how expenisve they are quoting based on 2001 Boxster S, Garaged, <10000 miles a year, 32 Years old, Full NCD, No Points, No accidents etc. the quotes are as follows:Best Adrian Flux £725 (450XS)Worst Churchill £1114 (500XS)I have owned Lotus Esprits S4s and V8, tuned Elises etc but have never been robbed this much! Why is the Boxster so expensive to insure, as I am sure my '98 Esprit V8 would have been just as expensive to repair/replace in the event of an accident!Any other suggestions or is this a reasonable premium? Tried LV(800), First Alternative (760), Esure (Not insure me), More Than (Not insure me), Eagle Star (Not insure me), Elephant (925), Admiral (820), tesco (915), Direct Line (887), Whay are the XS so high on this vehicle also - Minimum is £450 and Maximum £750! WTF?!Has anyone used Adrian Flux and are they any good?Cheers, Ed.

rich_y
I used Adrian Flux last year. The policy was actually underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance. Didn't have any issues with them, but then again, I had no need to contact them once I'd bought the policy. But for some reason, they just couldn't get me a decent renewal quote, so I moved to First Alternative. Must admit, I have never ever had insurance 2 years running with the same insurer. sanjeev
Haven't got my car yet, but had a look at a couple of insurance companies. Cheapest I found were bell.co.uk, virgin and tesco. No idea if they're any good though, but the excess was £250 on all of these i think.
