NaTT
Done a few searches on confused to discover that a £35K used Boxster S will cost about the same as my current TTC 225 to insure, circa £1.3Kpa.But a used Carrara 2 (S reg) would cost £2.7K. Key factors: soon to be 30 (but not before purchase), wife 29, Residential Parking, Watford, commuting, 12K miles, 3 - 4 year old sp30 points, full no claims. Are there any insurers not canvassed by confused.com I should be trying? They're faster but you'd not think it warrant such a hike. Jarrod Mollison
This is the cheapest insurance I could find. www.belldirect.co.ukSomeone posted it on the site a while back, my insurance went down from £1200 to £850 with them and im 28 with Full NCD.They are pretty keen for your business too. unknown
That was me. I just organised a quote for next week. From SLK 200 to Box S was just a couple of hundred more. Very reasonable. It included overlap insurance for the SLK until I get rid of that too
JamesM
Also, with Bell Direct you can add a second car and have the same NCD.
astraugh
Also, with Bell Direct you can add a second car and have the same NCD. That sounds useful. Might look into that when current insurance expires.
Simon M
I'm sure my mate GaryW has just taken his policy out with Sainsburys- may be worth a try also....
Broxie
Also try www.insuresupermarket.com. I pay £720 for a 996C2 (45, Surrey, 3 points) using NU Direct. The Boxster was slightly more (apparently due to it's soft top nick-a-bility).
