Bit of a stupid question really having jumped loads of fords,etc in the past. Just wondered if the Porsche has any delicate electronics. The order of connection of the leads set out in the manual is designed to minimise the risks of short-circuits or sparks potentially caused by accidentally touching the cable somewhere on its way to attaching it to the intended connection point. 981s do have more delicate electronics than the 986 but again the instructions in the manual take those into account.
