happyhippydad
I think I'm going to like this forum My engine management light has come on. I have only just bought the Boxster and the chap who I bought it from is a mechanic and is more than happy to look at it and get any parts needed, however he lives 60 miles away, so... I thought I would purchase the correct code reader and then I can give him some more information. I did just fill the car up with petrol and that is when the light came on. I can't remember exactly but it was certainly shortly after. I did check the petrol cap was on properly and it clicked so I guess it is! (This seems to be one reason for the light). The light is not flashing. Any suggestions on a cheap code reader that will work on this vehicle? I don't need the Durametric system just a cheap OB2 reader which works in this model? Thanks again. TV8
Hi @happyhippydad there is a thread about must have iOS apps that I have just posted an up-date on regarding obd readers. Did the trick for me! Good luck with the fault.
