G man
So 1st job on the new motor.....I’m going to keep it for a while so I’ll pop a lifetime filter on.... popped it into service mode removed carpets an engine cover...into the air box and old filter out.....simples. next put the new filter in.....not so simples....an hour later after after attacking from all angles still couldn’t get the blinking thing to locate on the air box connection! I had to give up in the end......the problem with the K & N is the connection is more rubbery then the standard filters and won’t locate onto the air box connection. however I don’t give up without a fight ...a bit of inter web search.... so what you do is ... 1 ...ease off the the jubilee clip on the K&N fully....also make sure the screw is orientated so you can tighten it easily once in the air box. 2...lubricate the filter connection with WD 40 once it’s in the air box you can just wiggle it on to the air box connection and tighten the jubilee clip....job done in about 15 minutes....phew. Now sounds a little more raunchy ....very happy next job .....de snorkel and add grill
