  1. i remember it going in for a service Gen1 GTS - it had done around 18,000 miles - daily driver to work and a few family trips.

From memory the note on collection was discs and pads were on their way out and he made a comment that cost would be around 6k - maybe that included a bigger service which would of been done at the same time? I was half thinking of selling it anyway at the time and that just made me pull the trigger a bit quicker.

I've just had the same on the q7 - new discs and pads all round due as 80% worn (so they told me) cost £3200 with a couple of tyres chucked in for good measure so i've sold it and replaced with another q7.

I remember the scary stories from when I had the ferrari - discs and pads (Ceramic) back then in 05/06 were 18k a set of 4! - that will teach you to lift and coast!!!!!

Never made it @D8EAN the horror stories put me off.
thought I found a decent spec X3 M40i the other day but it had cheep tyres fitted to it and missed its last service with BMW……

i binned my GTS at 18,000 miles  - had to have new pads and discs all round and the quote was close to 6k thru porsche so i thought get out whilst the going was good.

same with the q7 - discs pads tyres all needed doing at 33k - so ive chopped it for a Vorsprung model

    Agree with lone wolf

seems a bit cheap to me, plenty of back street setups out there and even though you see the super car outside doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gonna be good!

id take the hit and go somewhere else as that would bug me

Totally agree I expected it smooth, at least a discussion during the process from them. To be honest it is a small issue for me and annoying I have to drive 20 minutes to go and see the place again. Then if they agree to fix it I will have to book it in and then drop off and collect, it’s all this wasted time that annoys me. A simple call at the time would have been better. Will go and see them tomorrow, so far they have been good at responding at least. Will keep you posted

what did you pay to have them done ?

Thanks for creating a separate section - something PCGB have failed to do despite over 500k views and 20k posts on a single thread!

Maybe spread the word and we can pick up some new members on here!

@Withy..Thought I'd let you know, my OPC has been in touch and my car is now being built on 23 October, and should be available to pick up 12-15 November which is before the previous date given for building the car! Apparently they are keen to get UK cars built and shipped!

isn't the macan going full EV next time round?

Sounds like a plan Dean. I was thinking of some company like photo box to create the calendar online easily enough and just have as many as paid for ordered up + a few spares for late comers, with proceeds/profits going to the site or charity.

    good idea boss.

maybe set up a new thread and we can get numbers cranking
