Perhaps Police related matters in other vehicles or occasions might be kept for the 'lounge' ?

I have a DSC controller, I like it.

Have yiu tried covering the light sensor on the front windscreen (in front of the mirror) with a cloth. See if that cures it.

If it's the same as the earlier model....

You just need a T25 & T30 torx to get the door panel off, a 10mm socket and 10mm spline tool for the stay removal
Cheers Tony, I've been in there once or twice.

I didn't know I needed to fix this, ordering parts immediately 😩

I would suggest a handover reset, this can bring heated seats back to life.
Has your battery been flat recently?

😉Yes I’m the same but it only seemed to do it on cold start and with the valves open it stopped altogether. I did have some work done on the car to free the valves up and I don’t remember it doing after.
It maybe a different set up on the 981, mine was a new retro fit so I haven’t had any issues or even really looked underneath at it. It maybe worth checking the valves are fully opening and closing 👍
Thanks, I have found the problem its inside. It will be sorted in the coming months 👍

You need the Porsche laptop diagnostics to be able to access the car's computer menus.
Your OPC can, but wont.
Most Indi's will , especially if they are already working on the car.
Or find an enthusiast with a dureametric - there is a thread somewhere or it's on the map to find the nearest I can't remember now.
Durametric pro can't code 981's . I upgraded to a PIWIS2. Check the map for local members with one. Beer tokens usually covers it.

I too have mine coded to ' remember last setting' which is usually off. Unless you are playing the mpg game.

Porsche 'Good to know' app available on playstore (probably iPhone too) covers a detailed explanation of use and exceptions.

Hi everybody - I am new to Porsche driving and loving the experience
i have a 64 plate Boxter S (981) and when i accelerate gently there is a 'tinkling' sound from the exhaust it seems. Doesn't affect performance and disappears when you accelerate harder
is this normal or .................... anybody any ideas
thank you
Does it have PSE? Mine has started to do this. I suspect the valves.

I've just had mine serviced, it is at the full mark.
Any other vehicle I've had serviced has been the same.
My view, if the oil should be at half there would be only one mark.

I have one of these for removing side stand springs on motorbikes. Would it hook in and remove the risk of finger trapping?

I used one, it split the plastic loop 😪

It connects wirelessly for me on Android too, I'm pretty sure you see it working on my video. As above your phone comes up in the middle of the screen when you start up and you push and it connects.
Nice to have the cable option for keeping it charged too.
I put a wireless charging pad in the arm rest

Thanks.
Unfortunately i'm unable to confirm if the Joyeauto can support wireless Android Auto, and without that it's pretty pointless for my needs.
I have joyeauto and wirelessly connect to a Samsung S20 ultra. Although it doesn't connect automatically, it needs a button push on the screen.

Check the 'forum map' for PIWIS owners, buy the battery from OPC and exchange beer token for coding. Although not strictly essential to operate. If you've spent circa 290, a little PIWIS love is probably in order to ease the Porsche paranoia 👍

I used AUTODOC in the Fatherland for my bits, you pay the VAT up front so there’s no import duties.
I use ATE plated discs on everything nowadays (the quality is superb) and used Textar pads.Hi Derek, quick look on my autodoc app, It's only listing the fronts. Do you have the ATE part numbers for the rear?
