  1. I understand if they fail, they  default to the on sports (firm) setting.

you can drive with them failed

they should be covered under OPC warranty (£2500 each if you had to pay)

they will only fix the failed one, not the set

Perhaps its obvious to say but I've said it before and will say it again, in terms of overall value, smiles per mile you won't beat a well spec'd and looked after 981 S, sitting somewhere in the £30-£35k range.

Even against the very lovely 718 4.0l, you don't miss out on £50k extra worth of improvement and even if depreciation hits hard you won't lose your shirt.

    That is why I bought @JurassicBGTS lovely 🔴 981S 👍❤️

Thanks Moonshine, is the description Sports seats and Sports seats Plus just related to the 981 ?  ...  in another thread Paul P (of this parish 🙂 ) kindly helped me with a similar query on another thread related to 986/987.

Sports seats have the little "loop" over the belt - like these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225500759953?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=Cj0KCQjw1_SkBhDwARIsANbGpFuswvF-6x7tLIsmd7M8Kd9r6DWoDOnqWnbjgOmjALynEmmVp_XK7lcaAtA7EALw_wcB

Comfort dont - like these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224034437626?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=Cj0KCQjw1_SkBhDwARIsANbGpFt3g9y2Q8Ap3qM6hjwBGtV9Ee-khjZ5j0VaEbFqAdd8ad-DUmydOXYaAiG0EALw_wcB

I think the terms sports seats and sports Seats Plus carries over to 719 and 911

The upper one of your links would seem to be similar to Sports Seats Plus, the lower "comfort" ones similar to "Sports Seats"

, ...  also the ad says Sports seats but (even as a non expert) I don't think they are.? ...

Sports seats are the basic seating option (without the shoulder wings)

They come in 2 way or 14 way adjustable form.

Sports Seats Plus are the deeper seats with shoulder wings and come in 2 way or 18 way adjustable form.

My personal preference is For Sports Seats Plus . (My former 718BS had standard sports seats and I really didn't like them

An OPC warranty should be worth a premium if you're buying used privately. 👍

    It was for me.

Having 2yrs Remaining OPC warranty gave me a  significant degree of comfort in my private purchase.

  6. Your car is lovely, but I unfortunately I think it is overpriced by a few £k for a private sale.

I bought a similar vintage lovely  example BS earlier this year as a  private sale from @JurassicBGTS with 35k miles on it and with all the extras one could want, (PDK, 20" Carrera classic wheels and new tyres, PSE, PASM, Sports Chrono, Bose, Sports Plus seats, paddle steering wheel etc etc ) plus full OPC service history and 2yrs OPC  warranty remaining and (arguably) in a more desirable colour combination of GT silver ️ and Carrera red 🔴 extended leather interior for similar.

I felt I paid strong money, but a fair price  as it came with great provenance and the 2yr OPC warranty was a great reassurance  / selling point.

With the added bonus that  @JurassicBGTS was a Gentleman to deal with  👍❤️ and Mrs @JurassicBGTSmade exceptionally grand bacon butties!! 😂👍❤️

  7. For one piece disks, I thought drilled disks were more prone to cracks propagating from the drill holes, and the 'best' option was slotted disks that let the hot gases vent out from between the disk and pad

  8. Or at least code the car to remember the last ASS setting?

I really dislike the coast feature and disabling ASS stops that from bring active.

I know ASS c as n be manually disabled in normal mode, and is disabled in Sports mode, but can the car be coded to remember the last ASS setting?
