There is a snag however... I had a better audio experience in my teenage years driving my mums Ford KA around with an FM receiver linked to an MP3 player. Does anyone have any experience in upgrading the stock speaker system with a specialist in the UK? I have little to zero interest in trying to do this manually and whilst I've tinkered with custom mods to other cars (most recently the Z4 I had until last week) I really don't want to touch the immaculate trim / interior in this. I've already have people ask me if the plate is private as they cannot believe its a 2013 model.

I've just ordered this Discount Car Stereo > Music Streaming > A2D-CDR30 Streaming Add-on module for Porsche CDR30 and CDR31 Radios

After years of messing about with the stupid 3.5mm jack plug and charging a bluetooth device, I've finally gone with a hardwired solution. I have similar in my Golf and it works superbly. 

The speakers are also awful so an upgrade is on the cards.

PS The car is stunning! Well done!. Open roads and that PSE.....you can't beat it!

Porsche now does an OEM ‘Classic’ headunit for the previous versions of our car so in time they should release one for ours. If you have the appalling CDR 31 HU you are stuck with either opening it up and replacing items inside or buying a whole new spurious headunit like Pioneer or Kenwood for example. I’d rather keep my interior as close to as when it left the factory. 

Porsche hurry up and release an Apple CarPlay headunit for our 981’S please! 

The original owner of my car complained to Porsche and they were very relucatant to change the clock as they said it was 'normal' but eventually bowed to pressure. This was some years ago.

Today - The clock still condenstates, a little, sometimes.

I had a 997 before my 981 and I'd never go back. An absolutely superb machine.

I have Touchless. I use it mainly in the winter months whilst Auto Foam is my go to the rest of the time 🧼 🚗 😃👍🏼

I use a lot of Bilt Hamber products on my 981 and daily. They are superb and I've used them for nearly 2 decades. It says alot given the saturated 'Detailing' market presently. 👍

Auto Foam is a superb pre-wash/ Snow foam item and the double speed wax is simply superb.

I do like the air scoops 🫡

Tap the colour into ebay. There is a shop that mixes the colour 👍🏼

I have some notes from 2020: The is code 'L88Z' and the colour is called 'Brilliant Chrome Metallic'. 

I've used it on my wheels and the match is superb.

Costco are coming in £50 cheaper per rear tyre and the fronts are cheaper there too. 👍🏼

I've always been a stippler for keeping my cars shed with the same tyres as from factory (Pirelli P Zero N0) and will probably need some new ones this year. 

Which ones do we find suit our 981's better nowadays given technology has moved on alot over the years?

I've heard a few talk about Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S.
