Roof aside the Spyder is the more special car.

The front and rear ends are completely different, you can have any colour you want and it has the full GT suspension.

And you are not stuck with all those horrible gold bits!

I would bet the Spyders will hold their value better too, if that's a consideration for the buyer.

But I'm with you on the roof, doesn't seem to stop it selling though!

Agree the Spyder is a more special car but the the 25 is aimed at the gts market.

The spyder and gt4 are a more focused drive and ride and not really for use as a daily?

The gold wheels and accents are marmite but hasnt put people off

How come RR/Bentley do so well out there?  I would guess the Chinese mega wealthy, of which there are plenty these days, are not too concerned with emission penalties.

No idea .. 981 sales dropped due to high emission charges.  718 4t introduced and China becomes its biggest market,  outsells the 911 so maybe its just high emmission sportscars they arent keen on ?

Proper nasty looking wheels. Some achievement making OEM look aftermarket. The accents don’t work and as a signature inside colour red with red dash top is divisive at best.

The old 986 550 had some of the best options including a then unique interior colour, unique (albeit only painted) alloys, short shift kit and a wee bit more power.

What a missed opportunity this is in comparison. They could have created a better one from the current Tequipment brochure and options list.

Can spec black interior and top .

    Looks great in white

Thanks for the info. I will also ask them to hard wire a charge lead for me as it won’t be used much over the winter. Especially if lock down for COVID comes back.... . Also as it is a 2017 car the luxury car tax has had some of the years gone without the mileage being clocked up. If we didn’t use our Z4 the roof played up when the battery got low.

The over 40k car tax supplement is for 5 years so still valid.

Porsche cars do seem to have had alot of owners in the first few years of its life. Seems to be the norm.lots of reasons maybe buying car to get on a list for a limited car etc etc

I was under the impression these mounts worked in comfort mode unless you hit the sports plus button so if the magnetic field shorts out and you get a code fired up and the mounts are technically still in comfort mode what is the harm in just getting rid of the code like you would if you fit standard engine mounts?

Or does this mean the mounts are no longer firm enough when driving in anger?

From reading many of posts online now regarding PADM failure and people being out of warranty I am shocked most don't just fit standard mounts. Especially if Chrono never gets used in their cars.

Why shocked ? Its flags up an error and why would you penny pinch?

I also saw a 987 rear mat pop up in the last week on the bay.

I'm keeping an eye out for a 981/991 frunk liner for a friend.

I have one available , but like your friend i might need it as it  will fit a 991 🙄

I noticed on a clear plastic measuring jug that it crazes when hot water is put in it. I was wondering whether the headlight crazing could be caused by washing the lights with hot water when the ambient temperature is low?

I think its to do with the heat that the bulbs generate?

Mine hasn't got locking wheel nuts, so the new ones will be pointing towards the tyre valves instead... :whistle1:

Just out of interest, is there a special technique or tool for removing the centre caps without scratching them?

Ooh i think your correct .they should to the valve . Oh no all this time mine have been wrong or am i lucky  the locking bolt is also by the valve😳

Yes generally I think you are right but on this occasion they where actually cheaper than anywhere else I could find. I had to mix and match from various websites to get the best overall price. Agree it's all about shopping around and take discount codes with a pinch of salt.

Agreed.  Cant go wrong with Brembros

So for no good reason other than a bargain to be had......

Some of the well known online car part suppliers had attractive sales on brakes recently (I'm convinced they are all the same company) .....combined with the fact that the none OEM rusty hats fitted to the car do my head in (yes I know I could paint them) .....I splurged out on some totally unneeded replacements ........lurvely Brembo discs to be fitted .....sometime in the future

Must be either carpartsfor less or eurocarparts?  I dont believe their discounts actually mean anything. I wanted a new battery from Eurocarparts and used the latest MID60 code , but the same battery was £21 cheaper ( after mid60 applied) on their Ebay shop with no discount code!!
