Having gone through the pain of the rebuild, I would definitely have the cylinders scoped if I bought another.
Not a reason to not buy, but the downside is large if you're dead unlucky as I was.
When the engine was in pieces the ims bearing was checked and it was fine. It had the later larger bearing.

I had a rodent issue in my garage, chewed through my golf bag to get at some chocolate I left in it and destroyed a bottle of chain saw oil. Then I had a cat issue which seemed to cure the rodent issue but it liked to sleep on my Boxster and made a right mess. I got a cat scarer and cat is now gone and rodents have not come back.

The worry I would have with WBAC is the instances where they take your car for an agreed value and then three days later once you have cancelled your road tax and insurance you get a call to say they have changed their mind and request you come back and collect your car.

What do I think, I think I finally get to hand over the award for having the worst tyres on a Boxster.
Unfortunately I can't tell you what I replaced them with as while I was dithering about it I spun of the road and wrote it off.
However if I was pushed on my choice it would have been Michelin Pilot Sport 4.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it sees a 50 sign on a side road to a 70 dual carriageway and panics because it thinks I am speeding, it reads some overhead signs, but misses the "end" word - so carries on thinking its 40 or whatever for a while.
As an aid - it's OK - but it's not as good as some I have seen, perhaps if it was supplemented with an accurate mapping of speed limits to GPS location, with proper, consistent, realtime data of temporary limits then there is a use case, so interested to see how effective the compulsory systems are ( and how cheaply the manufacturers can implement something that fits the rules).
Mandating it as a feature is a way of making the tech better/cheaper - of course - eventually they will make it more difficult to ignore/disable.
I get this in my car as well sometimes. It uses Google maps to monitor my speed against the GPS location to get the speed limit and if I exceeded I get a right ear full of abuse. But the wife does not always come out with me all the time so I get some fun now and again.

I asked a fiend, anything he does not know about Titanium does not exist.
All titanium is oxidised that is why it does not corrode. However it only oxidises on the surface above about 500C. so it depends where on the bike it is. If it is below this ther will not be any significant oxidation. Even if it changes colour a bit nothing to worry about.
Of more concern is what is the grade of titanium. I.e. what alloy is it. This determines the mechanical performance. If it is pure titanium it is rather low strength. Most common alloy is titanium 6 aluminium 4 vanadium.I can ask more but can't guarantee an answer.

I think if I was in your citation I would have bought one before now and tested it out against the maths to see how confident I felt about it all.
Thinking about it I probably should get one as in some peoples eyes I am an alcoholic as I find it very difficult to go a week with out a beer and can easily put away 20 plus pints in a good session. I don't drive the morning after one of those nor for most of the afternoon.

😱I had heard of cases where individuals had been wrongly charged with DD but assumed they were urban legend but it seems not.
How do you prevent it happening again if its a medical condition as opposed to a police mistake.

You may be surprised as to what landlords will let you do if they consider it increases the value of the property at your cost.
My colleague has put in a paved patio at the back of his rented garden as a BBQ area and the landlord was fine as long as the tenant paid for it all and signed over the rights so he could not try and take the slabs when he left.

Starter motor funny noise on startup

Two of my boxsters had exactly this issue. One on warm restarts and other totally randomly every 20 to 30 starts. I asked about getting it cleaned but was told the starter is relatively cheap and since its a remove job to clean better to put a new one in as there is no guarantee how long the cleaned one would last.
