@944GS which Pioneer head unit did you go for?
Do you have any pics of it? -
Yeah I'm always wairy of totally clean MOT's

I assume @Liberty also did a 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock check for wobble as well as the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock one.
If the same wobble happens in both positions, that's bearing play, if the movement is only at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock, that's track/tie rod ends. -
From what I could see on my 987 the water pump housing looks quite new, so that should be done.
I ought to check the paper work but unfortunately that's been given to me in a unordered mess of jumbled up reciepts.I guess I should spend sometime organising all those receipts in chronological order.

as a result most of the joints won't even separate... SNAP! a feature of the car rather than poor ownership I would say
Yeah but it makes me feel a bit better cursing the old owner under my breath whilst I work on the trying to free the pesky joints 😂

I'm doing this job as DIY right now on a 987.1
This car is new to me but it's apparant that the leak has been going on for sometime and the previous owner just ignored it.As a result most of the joints won't even separate and my parts bill is currently just over £500.
I dropped the whole subframe to make the job easier to do and also to tackle the ARB bushes.I think some of the price vairance seen in the previous posts is explained by what parts need replacing and how long the pipe/s have been leaking.

Seems to be pretty typical; mine were very similar.
It's a new sight for me, I'm use to working on Jap cars previsouly, so a bit of WTF moment LOL

I pondered on just dropping it enough to get at the pipes but the other two considerations were that I suspected that the ARB bushes would be knackered due to corrosion (and boy were they knackered!) and the other thing was that the corrosion on the pipes was so bad that the pipes weren't even coming apart from rubber to plastic connections, least of from rubber to aluminuim.
Got a massive list of parts that I need to get, it's probably going to cost over £500 just in parts. Here you can see the corrosion on the ARB bushing.

Had plenty planned for today but only managed to get an oil change done.

Which LED kit did you fit @tommyboy?

Once you've got the drill attachment you can just by the sanding discs on thier own like this
-
I've got quite a bit of stuff accumulated for polsihing headlights but it's mostly a combination of this headlight restoration kit and this one
Basically go through 3 sanding grits (P800, P1200 and then P2000 IIRC) followed by polishing with polishing pad and then seal.

Headlights polished, made a decent difference.

If you've got a steam cleaner, that will have help pull out the dirt and muck that's deep down.
Use the steam cleaner to loosen up all the muck and then use the Autoglym stuff straight after.

Not to worry, just found the info :-
Oil Drain washer Size A 18 x 24
Gearbox Drain Plug Washer. Size 22 x 27

What's the size of the sump washer?

Any pics showing how bad the hood is?
What have YOU done to your 987 today

Getting the two rather rusted pipe support brackets off was a bit of hassle, the bolt head on the underside just sheared off, despite me taking it easy, loosening, tighten, loosening, tightening etc
So I cut most of the bracket off, just leaving the square nut. I then got my MIG welder out and welded the sqaure but to the bolt, and got mole grip on there and unscrewed it. Luckily it put up no further fight.
