RonaldP
Had my renewal through from NU - £966 + additional £400 to my excess. Checked the forum for suggestions and tried MoreThan. They quoted £416 with £500 excess(NU was £620). Same cover, what a difference. I phoned to confirm the quote and to make sure there was no mistake and paid by CC immediately.FYI Liverpool+Vic was £988.My details are: Cayman S. 9yrs NCB, zero points, live near Gatwick. 40 yrs old. NO TRACKER requirement.Happy hunting.

sokneemc
Yep, I changed from Halifax to MoreThan and saved alot of money too.No one else came anywhere near.c←They gave a good quote for me but when I told them of the options on my car they no longer wanted to insure it. It was the Carrera S wheels that gave the problem. Seems ridiculous given that you could be excused for thinking that it was the standard wheels for a Box S. Mikej
Didn't save that much, but More Than were about £200 cheaper than my current insurer and about £100 cheaper than the next best

llywmog
more than wouldn't insure me (online)!! 2.7, 30, 0 pts (although have 6 within 5 yr timeframe), no tracker.nobody can match my renewal notice of £650 from adrian flux so far. anybody with similar circumstances found cheaper? percymon
More than were the cheapest online quote for me, but there was no facility for declaring extras (other than as modifications) on the quote - givne the hassle others on here had about MoreThan later cancelling policies as they didn't (then) nsure Boxsters i felt they were too cheap and not worth the hassle.I currently pay about £650 with £400 excess through the PCGB scheme with A.Manning brokers, all extras insured at no extra cost, no tracker, insured for about £43k, 37 yr old, 19yrs NCB , 0 points

KS1983VW
More Than couldn't match the current insurer (Bell) but it was very close.£690 - 28 yrs old, 10 yrs ncb, missus on the policy, unlimited mileage, protected ncb, ungaraged and occasional business use.More than happy with that

Guest
This time round I switched to Performance Marque as I wanted trackday cover included. Although specialist insurers like these are more expensive than the likes of More Than they offer Porsche approved repairers and like for like hire cars. It's always worth checking out the details because the cheapest quote might not always be the best option if you ever have to make a claim

A Manning seems to be around 950 for me which seems very high with track cover!←They were £720 for me even though I'm 44 with max NCB. But I do 15,000 miles a year which probably keeps the premium up (underwriters are Royal&Sunalliance BTW). A Manning quoted me nearly £800. Heritage gave the best quote that included track day cover (£550) but they don't allow more than 10,000 miles which was no use for me. A-Plan and Abacus (new forum sponsors) gave me very good quotes but no track day cover.Remember that your car is worth almost twice of what my old 'un is so that's going to lead to a difference in premium.Personally I think it is worth getting quotes from a number of the specialist insurers. Getting a good price is sometimes down to catching them on the right day when they need the business and they always seem to be a bit more willing to try harder for you on the phone rather than through e-mail quotes. Doubt it's just me - I'm 53 with clean licence, 4,000,000 years no claims , always garaged car and live in low crime, rural area. What upset me most was that each time I spoke to someone there I got a different answer.IMHO THE most inept and unprofessional outfit I have ever dealt with.
