Volxstu
Hi First post here Im hoping to pick up a 2000 reg Boxter S at the weekend. (I say "im" hoping to pick up, thats not strictly true as none of the one day insurers will cover me so my father may have to do the driving). Once i sell my current car I will need to look to insuring it. Are there any nifty tricks like managing to get on a Classic policy that i should look into? Im relatively young so finding an insurance company who will be sympathetic to the fact that I have bought the car to cherish, not wrap around a lamp post is crucial. ThanksStu
spyderman8
Don't think it's old enough for a classic policy yet. You might try for an agreed value. Limited mileage too.
Volxstu
The biggest issue is that I do about 12,000 miles a year and i dont see the point in owning the car you want to drive and not driving it i.e having a second more cost effective car, put in a less convoluted manner. I need to speak to my Current broker as they deal with higher marque and modified cars. I am just trying to go in as clued up as possible.
