onedesi
I've literally picked up a 987.2 Boxster S and totally love it and the specialist dealer experience was brilliant. Upon getting home I noticed a small issue with the plastic cover on the passenger side roof plastic cover that meets the window (sorry, no idea what its called) - I contacted the dealer who will sort it out so no issue there but I'd like to know what you guys think the issue might be and how it could be resolved. I've put some pics below of the drivers side and the passengers side, on the passenger side you will see the roof canvas is outside of the plastic cover which isnt right. When I fold the roof half way and push the canvas back in it goes in and if I close the roof all is well but if I open the roof again the canvas pops out of the plastic channel. My guess is that there is some spring/string that has now gotten slack if this is a long standing issue but should i be worried or is there a simple fix - any guidance greatly appreciated The drivers side pic: The passenger side pic:

Menoporsche
This is so common it should be a sticky Don't worry, dirt cheap fix. But if you just bought it, why not ask dealer to fix it?
jimbob2911
Mine isn't as far over but it doesn't quite go fully under the plastic. How is this fixed @Menoporsche

Thank god for that - the dealer will fix it but it would be so good to know what the issue is, could you point me in the right direction please? jimbob2911
Just realised I was looking at something else. The glass seems a long way away from the plastic. Mine is further over the rubber and closer to plastic trim. ?I will go back to sleep.
brilliant day
New button hole elastic, decent material adhesive and a needle and thread and the job's a good 'un. It really is that simple and I can't sew. It was the first DIY job I did on mine. I agree with Menoporsche, it is so common there should be a sticky.
