Should I expect it to operate as any other car does, or is their a certain amount of feel required to select the gear. Changing from 5th to 4th feels like I could be going into 4th or 2nd, their is not really any spring resistance in the shifter.When I knock my Golf out of 5th it is ready to drop into 4th etc. Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you have looked at the cable end joints and the shifter is not self centreing then you will probably need to change the cables. It's about £250+VAT for a 6 speed cable pack.
