Tiptronic Service

Just wondered whether anybody has had a tiptronic gearbox oil and filter change recently and what the cost was.

a few of us have , i bought filter and gasket from opc think it was like 40quid don't quote me then had a friend who is a zf specialist and he charged me 100 to do it that included the oil.

if you search the technical thread there are a few threads on there.

£199-£299 seems to be the norm. The fluid is not cheap. A fluid change will swap out half because the torque converter holds the rest. A full flush will go through about 10 pints. This can cause slipping issues if the old fluid was in poor condition and the box was worn.

Same box in a Merc. I paid around 175 for my AMG at a Merc indy.

Just been quoted over a grand at anOPC.  BUT quoted me 399.00 for major , 110 for brake Fluid
Cant understand the difference
Will only use OPC for service (Looks good in book)

I think the 2.7 has the Merc Box

and the 2.4 has a ZF box
(996 is similar)
