Anyone added a transmission cooler on a manual?

I had issues with my gearchanges on a track day in November, which went away after the car cooled down, so I'm thinking it was Heatsoak in the transmission, given how compact the engine, exhaust and transmission is in a Boxster.

I will get the transmission oil changed before the next one, but was thinking about trying to add an oil cooler for the transmission, so wondered if anyone has done this?

I hear of it being recommended for track cars, but little else about what one to buy etc. I have found one on a US website, but it's over $1000.

But there is this one for the automatic transmission for £120... so wondering if this could be fitted to a manual car, along with a third central radiator?

Any input and advice welcome!

What specific issues? Changing up/down? Are you changing gear whilst cornering? High speed lateral loading can cause issues.

Check the engine/gearbox mounts and gear linkage first.

There were no issues in the morning, but in the afternoon I didn't leave much time between sessions! The main issue I had was going from 3rd to 2nd. Instead of gong from the cross plane in to the slot for 2nd it wanted to go across to where it could go in to Reverse! I had no issues with it earlier at all, and I heel/toe on track, so i don't think it was a rev issue. On the way home once it had cooled down I had no problems whatsoever.

I'll ask my local specialist to look it over and change the oil, but was thinking that if the cooler for the Auto could be added then it would be a nice belt and braces approach for the sake of £120.
