Front bumper painted

You tend to get what you pay for...

I've had my front bumper / bonnet painted recently to get rod of stone chips & it's a fantastic job by someone who comes highly recommended & has a portfolio of work including Porsche / Ferrari / Lamborghini / Astons etc. I'm sure I could have got the job done cheaper, but to be honest after being the recipient of some pretty shoddy work in the past from other paintshops, I just wantedit done right first time. I'm delighted with the job & even got a portfolio of pictures / video of the work in progress.

Generally though, for a front bumper repaint, I've read about people paying anything from £150 to £600+ (OPC), prices also vary according to where you live. If you are anywhere near Bristol then the chap who did mine was Jason at JB Auto's - http://www.jb-autos.co.uk/

Also, some bodyshops will mask up everything & paint the bumper in situ, which means hard edges around the lights which can chip back after a while. When mine was painted, everything was removed, including the bonnet for painting & the bumper was fully stripped down - a proper job!

Can you tell us how much your bumper and bonnet cost to get resprayed. I was quoted  £800 for bumper bonnet and partial on both front wings.

Having my rear bumper done right now. Bumper off etc. Specialist body shop full of Astons, Porsches, Lambos waiting to be done.  Quoted £300 & VAT for either end, front or back.  Oxford/ Reading area. Riviera Autobody in Wallingford.  Owner very experienced and trusted by my regular mechanical Indy specialist.  Will report back when I collect the car at the weekend!

Riviera Autobody - seen them mentioned before on some Porsche forums, unless I'm mistaken I think they are / were a Porsche approved bodyshop.

Got the car back a few days ago.  In short, a great job - colour matched the now slightly faded Agate Grey very well and they gave the rest of the car a full wax.  They do a couple of Porsche bumpers every week, apparently.  Helpful, friendly and efficient service.  Highly recommended.

Oh - it was £350 & VAT.  Finger trouble on first post.
