Additives oil / petrol

I think T24RES is right. I had a look around at additives for oil & fuel plus reviews by autotrader.  A cheap fuel plus an additive (even if they do what they say they do which is debatable) works out costing more than buying a premium fuel with a higher octane & cleaning components.

The only thing I would consider is an additive just before an oil change to make it more liquidy.less viscous so more congealed oil drains out - if this is possible...............but I would rather spend on a good quality oil in the first place.

Beware additives as they sometimes conflict with the additives already in the oil. The additives refiners use are not public knowledge so you can't even select a compatible additive even if you are chemically informed. One very knowledgeable shop is even suggesting you not even add oil from a different refiner. Only change oils at the complete change is the way I read his advice.
