Robster S
I have recently bought my first Porsche, a Boxster S 987.2 , GT silver with red interior and a red roof very similar to a RS60. The roof needed some deep cleaning and I have used Renovo and a lot of elbow grease. The roof is now clean and ideally could do with a red dye applying before waterproofing. I have been unable to find any information on the internet regarding what dye to use. I contacted my Porsche dealer and they told me the roof colour is LL02 ? Does anyone have any information on where I can get the correct red dye?
richardjjs
No idea on the Rof colour but it is imperative that you seal the roof as soon as possible or not let the car get wt until you die AND seal it Good luck and enjoy the car Richard
detail1
I think you will struggle to get an exact colour match, Renovo do generic colours, but you may need to find a specialist who can mix a similar match. I should note also that whatever dye is applied will deepen the colour and also give a slightly rough feel to the touch. https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Convertible_Roof_Restoration_Kit

Robster S
Thanks for suggestions, the roof itself is in good condition just slightly faded along the edges where the roof sits on the supporting cross members. I am going to tread cautiously as it seems there are some horror stories with re-colouring soft top roofs. I am having the roof tightened tomorrow morning at the local Porsche dealer, so I will see what they suggest.
Robster S
Any suggestions on how to convert a Porsche colour code LL02 to a RAL or similar international recognised colour code that they can match a dye too?
villaman
i think for the cost + agro VS a new roof (fitted =< £900 ) you had to seriously consider a new roof ?
