Baldrick73
Guys this is my first post, I’ve test drove a 53 plate Boxster S today - fell in love with it and it’s in good condition, only thing is there is a squeak from the rear suspension, not any knocking but a rubber sounding squeak - anti roll bar bushes look a little worn but not excessive - is there any major parts I should look at before making an offer. Dont mind fixing a few bits just don’t want to get caught out and pay out loads so soon after buy my first Porsche any advise greatfully received
toplad
It could be rear coffin arms A good test is, Go to the back corner quarter where you think the squeak is. Push down as if you're trying bounce the back end of the car, obviously careful not to dent the area. It should not squeak, if it does the seal/ball joint could have dried out/failed and you'll need a new coffin arm About 100 each, plus fitting, plus alignment. Two fitted at revolution Porsche is about
Baldrick73
I did push down and no noise at all - only while driving slow - going back onto drive etc - hoping it’s just a dry bush or two might take a chance and get it to a garage to look at.
