alank
Hi Have had a small leak for a while now,( Damp carpet passenger side),Suspected it was coming from under the dash where it meets the carpet in the passenger foot well. I stuffed a towel into gap where carpet meets underside of dash, and waited. Checked today after a couple of downpours and the towel is wet. Is their a common area on passenger side, ie cabin filter area where water can come in. Looking forward to Porsche Spectacular at Brands on Sunday. Thanks for any help
Boxob
Check the front drainage holes by the battery. Possibly blocked. Also if you have a/c the condenser pipe can come away from the unit in the cabin and leak to the interior.
Menoporsche
And check other drain holes to make sure they are not close to blocking.
alank
Thanks i'll do that. I do recall someone mentioning a leak around cabin filter housing, may investigate that also, cheers
Boxob
If the front drain hole blocks then the bulk head compartment (where the battery sits) fills with water and floods the cabin through the cabin filter.
