mdunderwood
I had my 6 year service last week (thanks to the guys at Precision Porsche) and one thing they noted was the battery in the siren alarm had gone flat. Seems like there are two alarms, one runs through the car horn and the other to a separate siren. They had never come across this before but have had 3 x 981s with the same thing over the past couple of months. Seems that the siren had its own battery so that out still blare out of the thieves decide to rip it off the car. Anyone else had this?
Greenman
How did they actually know? Does it report a fault in the ECU? Or did they specifically test the alarm/battery? Are there likely to be any symptoms?
mdunderwood
Hi, not quite sure but think it was through an electrical check. There were no symptoms.
