Apollo000
Now I e had the car a couple of weeks it’s obvious I have some “wandering” going on, will check tyre pressures this morning but it will probably need an alignment check - looking for recommendations around Frome/Warminster area but happy to travel for for the right team to do it. I’ve used National Tyres in Warminster before, decent enough on the old C-Max but I think I’d prefer a specialist but happy to run with recommendations. JohnSyn
it will be trek for you but the guys at Center Gravity are brilliant. They have set up my last 4 cars, most 6 months or less old, and the cars have handled so much better afterwards.
the baron
I’d go for a company that offers the “Hunter” alignment, its more expensive but produce excellent results, I use a place in Melksham but cant think who they are, they are a big reseller of “Nexan” tyres but do other brands too, they are on the industrial estate. Apollo000
Cheers @the baron due to the fact it feels like I’m about to be flung in a ditch I’ve gone with my local boys - I’ve left them to it after seeing the initial readout 😮 😮 I’ll stick a pic up later of the before and after but it wasn’t a pretty sight! PaulQ
48 minutes ago, the baron said: I’d go for a company that offers the “Hunter” alignment, its more expensive but produce excellent results Hunter is just the make of the equipment used. Lots of the cheaper chain type places use them too including Kwik Fit. The results you get will depend on the person who is doing the work, not the machine itself. Apollo000
So the guys were great as usual, however the bolts going through the rear control arms are completely seized - if they heat it up the bush will simply disintegrate so it looks like 2 new rear control arms. They adjusted the front free of charge but in reality the whole set up needs doing for me to feel safe - so hopefully tomorrow they will get me a price.
