Door lights

I’ve just noticed that the lights in the bottom of the doors don’t light up when the doors open, are they supposed to? I can’t find anything in the settings and switches to activate them(unless I’ve missed something) My old 987.2 door lights used to illuminate when the door was opened, maybe they’re just reflectors on the 981?

I remember reading somewhere that 2015 models for some reason dont have them - unless you have the light design package.

Earlier 981's had them though.

Ah okay thank you. I do have the interior light package option 630, the cars registered a late 2015 but a 2016 build according to the Porsche paperwork, odd I know! I’ll have another look tomorrow.

I think you need the light package for these to be operational. It is possible to retrofit, but sadly you can't wire it into the door module and code it on you need to tie back to the footwell light.
