Gareth_W
Hi all, I've been lurking round the forum for a few months now so this is my first post. I bought a 987.1 S back in Sept and recently plugged in my obd reader which has thrown up error code P0441. Is anyone able to shed some light on what might be causing this and a possible solution. Paul P
welcome to the forum No 1st hand experience but google suggests issues related to the fuel vapour canister and/or the associated valve Here’s a discussion from rennlist https://rennlist.com/forums/boxster-and-boxster-s-986-forum/478167-p0441-fuel-tank-ventilation-system-above-limit.html I would start with fuel cap and then have a look around the various parts of the fuel system. if the car is running fine and no engine light, consider perhaps clearing the fault and running the car for a while and checking again. Gareth_W
I have googled it and found varying results, no lights on the dash, car is running fine although there is a strong smell of petrol when first starting but clears quickly I will clear the code and see what happens (should've done that to start with)

Gareth_W
From the research I've done it seems there are various reasons for this fault code (all fuel system related), I'm not experiencing any starting issues hot or cold and there are no abnormal noises This is my first Porsche so still getting used to the characteristics of the Boxster, everything is running normally with the car as far as I can tell, I hope to get out tomorrow and clear the code and see if it comes back, if it does then I'll start with the fuel cap, the carbon canister appears to be a common culprit for this fault code too.
