I don’t know but these are the approved 20” fit for a Boxster:

20-inch wheel FA / RA or

8 J x20, RO 57 /
9.5 J x20, RO 45

8 J x20, RO 57 /
9.5 J x20, RO 45

8 J x20, RO 57 /
9.5 J x20, RO 45

20-inch wheel FA / RA

8.5 J x20, RO 57 /
10 J x20, RO 50

8.5 J x20, RO 57 /
10 J x20, RO 50

8.5 J x20, RO 57 /
10 J x20, RO 50

Summer tyres FA / RA

235/35 ZR 20 (88Y) /
265/35 ZR 20 (95Y)

235/35 ZR 20 (88Y) /
265/35 ZR 20 (95Y)

235/35 ZR 20 (88Y) /
265/35 ZR 20 (95Y)

so basically anything up to 8.5” on the front and 10” on the back is guaranteed to fit.(with correct offsets)

Thanks for the information, the one that I was looking at are 11 rear, so would not be suitable.

It's the offset that is the critical measurement; clearing the springs and other suspension components. It can often be overcome using suitable sized spacers.

There are web sites out there that can help😃

I have some 11J wheels on the rear with 55mm default offset.

They fit without spacers but they are close to the rear chassis rails.

Ideally I would suggest an offset of 50mm with no larger than 295 tyres. This will work nicely and tuck into the arch with no issues. This necessitates a 5mm hub-centric spacer in my above example.

On the front, 9J with a total offset of 55 with 245 tyres will work best.any higher than 57 and you'll scratch the MacPherson strut.

The key in both cases is not the exceed 245/295 tyres. These are a tiny stretch on 9J and 11J rims respectively, but this setup tucks well without rub on bounce, and is no more of a stretch than with the standard 'Sport Techno' wheels for example.

I Have got Sport Techno II wheels, they seem to be 1/2 inch  wider (11.5) than Classics, are you saying that they fit the same tyre as on the classics. Wondering if i could get away with  305's  (no spacers fitted)

265 tyres on an 11J will be quite a severe stretch. You might even need to explode them onto the rim with lighter fluid. If you think this sounds nuts then google it, it exists..!

I would strongly suggest using 295/30R20 on 11J rears. This is, after all, what Porsche themselves fitted to the 981 Spyder variant.

sorry to drag this out a bit but what about 245/40/19 and 275/40/19 on 19 inch alloys with 8J front and 9.5J rears,

is this a recommended fitment ?

Reason being there seems to be a better choice of 19s out there.
