Ringer250
Yes, my 2014 boxster had the bonnet latch changed FOC in 2015 - weak weld on the bracket apparently. Was an official UK recall. https://www.vehicle-recall.co.uk/recall/R/2014/151 Edited April 13, 2022 by Ringer250
daz05
I've heard that the paint can start bubbling around the latch too, causes a reaction.
718as
Some more recalls. Problems and Recalls: Porsche 981 Boxster (2012-16) (australiancar.reviews) It appears that the lock bracket in addition to the latch may also be a recall? Menoporsche
Confusing. In the UK the hood is called the bonnet. I thought you meant the handle above your head to unlatch the hood/roof. Then I realized I have a 987, this is the 981 forum, and a 981 doesn’t have said roof latch. Need coffee.
