318touring
Hi all, Wondering whether anyone has seen or had the experience where the soft-top is 'sticky' to the body when opening i.e. the edge of the soft-top that connects to the top of the A-pillar would kind of stick to the rubber element that it rests on. As a result when opened, it would not smoothly pull away from the A-pillar. Instead there would be a small delay then it pulls away. I notice this after the car been sitting for a period of time in an enclosed garage. It's this area shown in this picture https://imgur.com/3veYmup (reusing someone else's picture - if this is yours, thank you) that I was asking about. Paul P
Suggest gummi pflege (yes really ) on the various bits of rubber and go from there.
318touring
Hmm, is something like this similar to gummi pflege as the proper one is not for sale in New Zealand Autoglym rubber care
Paul P
Don’t know if it’s the same. But found this seems to supply from uk and ship to nz https://www.desertcart.nz/amp/products/48666537-nextzett-2-x-gummi-pflege-rubber-care-stick-100-ml-free-fast-postage

The above might be a contributing factor I suspect, more fun needed. Gummi should certainly help, do all my seals once a year.👍

Its bigger brother (911) also hasn't been driven for a couple of months
