I need to get my immobiliser ECU and key back from that specialist Porsche independent that fixes them, (no names, no pack drill ). They have had it three weeks now and don’t seem to be playing ball. Once I have this back fixed, (hopefully) I can fire up the car and check out what the lights are doing and are like.

Don't know if it gone through an MOT broken, but my only thought would be that it could fail on dip beam pattern, but really it should fail 'safe'. The link is about £40 from Porsche and the clip for the coffin arm about £3.50, the modules however may be salvage is a better route, or some glue to fix cracked plastic mounts, genuine are about £140 each, after market from D911 about £88 and the mount for the sensor is about £13 for Porsche. Thanks for the info. Most useful.
Sanky
So after some further investigation, I have discovered that the Porsche retrofit loom has couple of resistors fitted. These are set up as a voltage divider which feed both front and rear sensors to the control module. This I think is mimicking the height sensors as the car been level. I have also discovered that you can perform a self test on the litronic lights by doing the below. 1. Turn on dipped lights (position 2) 2. Turn on ignition (starting engine not necessary) Lights should now move down and then back to centre, this part is working on my setup. I just need someone to confirm if that's all it does and they don't go fully down, fully up and then centre. Going to try another control module in the mean time, as I still would like the kick up to work with high beam. Sanky
New control module arrived today, so did a trial fit and I am pleased to say its all working as it should be...whoop! whoop! No special control module needed and no height sensors are need, if you use the retrofit wiring loom from Porsche. I'll post a video up, once its out of winter storage.
