Hi @NorbertDo you just upload the 3D model and it chooses who prints it for you?

Did you get the bit behind the gear stick printed too?

I know a supplier who can sell 500mm of OEM carpet for around £50 delivered if you need it.

It could be coming in the panel in the front bulkhead, I have had that problem, took me a long time to find, changing various other bits until I found it.   It a dash out job and even then it's just trying to reseal it in place.

You could try looking at the heater matrix cover first though.

I'm tempted just to pop one off anyway.  I'll have a look tomorrow, see if one will come off without damaging it, I don't want to have to find a replacement!!

I had to glue mine back in as they were loose.

It could be like my door pull cable.  They just don't sell it anymore, you have to change the whole system over.  Maybe it will need to be swapped with a whole new(used) unit.

By the way even though built and registered in 1996 yours will be a 1997 model year car which is launch spec. as there is no 1996 model year.

As mine was a demonstrator and not a customer car it's possible that they changed parts for public sale.  Hence why I noted the year.

One thing I have noticed about owning a very early car (1996) is they have changed lots of parts, even just a few months in.  Eg,  Door actuators, roof motor and mechanism, door pull cables and handles.  I'm sure there are many more too.  

I have this problem too, although it doesn't drop the windows when i open the latch either.  It might be the relay but it doesn't bother me enough to try replacing it yet, it's on the list though!

I would imagine he is talking about a coloured crest rather than a black and white crest. 

You may have a dodgy door lock too, but to me those problems sound like your ECU under the passenger seat has got wet at some point.  Mine acts strange sometimes, it was worse when I first got the car and used to lock and unlock as I drove along, sometimes the passenger window doesn't drop or It will double lock when I press the remote button.  I find that the more I drive the more the car fixes itself!

You could try an aircon bomb or similar

Well, that was a job and a half.

Removing the dashboard was the easy bit, getting the heater box out was the hardest part, you would never think that you would have to take the wipers off and that's just the start.  There were times when I just sat in the car looking at the mess and everything missing, my brain just wanted to shut down!

I used a combination of Wurth sealant and waterproof tape to seal the panel, there was no way I was going to try and take that out.  Putting it all back together was mostly easier, although I did get to the point where everything minus the stereo and centre console was back in, before realising that the alarm thing on the dash had the wiring coming out of the wrong opening and had to completely remove everything again, just to be able to pull the dash forward an inch and re route the cable.

Couple of heavy downpours and so far so good, no more leak and no more cover.  Also having the leather dash is so much nicer than the textured vinyl, the car even smells more expensive.

Yes, I am pretty sure there is one behind the side vent.  Can't remember which side but I'm sure I've had it out and cleaned it.

Make sure that you can just put in a used unit, the later ones with optical connections are coded to the car I believe, rather than having a code to enter.

I had a 2.5 with 103k about 12 years ago and it never did it.  Had the starter motor squeal though!

Would love to get this sorted on my car, it's such a horrible sound.

I came across this issue too.  If you ever have the inside pull cable break, make sure you get the old style one.  Not available new anymore either.
