Completed a full service, oil, oil/air/cabin filters, plugs, coil packs a couple of months ago.
Should I note this down in the service book, make a potato stamp with my initials?

Oops, damned autocorrect, I meant subframe of course……!
Just dug out the invoice, the previous owner had it done in Sept 2020 with some other work at the same time, labour was 5 hours, does not say if subframe was dropped, parts list mentions 4 water hoses, 2 coolant tubes, 2 distributer pipes, 2 sleeves

£800 for just the fronts on mine
-
Lol, that’s what I did and it put me off, even though H&R are a quality product

Went for a drive in the nice weather, first proper one since fresh oil, filters, plugs and coil packs, it’s just fantastic.

Reminds me of air cooled cars I’ve had in the past with crushed oil lines!
-
And re check/torque them after a few miles if new bolts

Cheers!

Thanks, where did you get them from?

Looking to change the two idlers and the tensioner pulleys. Would like decent quality, ie. FAG/SKF bearings etc (have also heard the outer part can fail)
Currently have the Febi ones in my AUTODOC basket, anyone with any other suggestions please. Genuine seem to be double the price with no info on the OEM.

Drove it for a change, had to run an errand, got a wave from a red 981, also saw a 993 in Wilmslow, reg was 993 G

You can’t really go wrong with any of the makes mentioned, currently have textar, pagid & Brembo. There is definitely a brembo ‘budget’ line. OE has multiple suppliers over the years

Fitted a euro car parts £2.39 cabin filter, also checked the drain holes under the hood. I’ll get round to posting pics eventually.
-
Thanks I’ll try that!

Hovered and cleaned the interior, also got rid all the dandelion fluff that was on the roof with a microfibre cloth
-
Replacing all that other stuff seems excessive
-
I think that will be fine. Looked at a few cars before mine and quite often they would be a few years late.

Ordered a cabin filter from ECP, £2.39!

^ sounds good.
Had mine a year now and just booked it in for a major service at Sportsandclassic.

I used Fabsil with the UV which seemed most popular when I searched on here.

I lift the back first and the front goes up enough to get a stand under it

connected the old ctek for a top up, hopefully get out for a run soon, also checked the scuttle drains
-
Was busy with work but decided to go out for a quick lunchtime drive rather than connecting up the ctek (not driven it for a week or so)
Self servicing, write it in the service book?

Ok thanks, think I’ll write the mileage in the book and keep the receipts in the folder with all the others.
quote from my local Indy was over a grand btw
