offside rear knocking noise on mine, drops and arb’s being done this week so will report back
we measured the bar at 19.2

Thanks chaps, this is still on the cards, car is in next week for brake lines, I’ll post pics. Then next job will be suspension. Re the slight knocking sound, could that be anti roll bar bushes?
…I used to have an air cooled 911 which was a non sport model with green bilsteins, a colleague had the same car but a sport version and it had red Konis

Ok thanks!

Car is in the for brake lines next week and I’d like to get some spare undertray nuts.
Are those unthread VW/Audi ones on eBay the same? I think they are a one time use? The original ones will screw back but new ones will be more secure

Ok thanks!

Are the Konis preferable to B4’s?
-
I like the Lobsters too much!
-
Interesting, I definitely don’t want the ride any firmer, just more compliant and better small bump sensitivity
-
So… B4 or B6? 😂
mine is none PASM
or coil overs
this is a can of worms isn’t it

Luckily the front coolant pipes were done by the PO.
I’m in Stockport.

I'm mulling this over as a job for next year so thanks for the replies so far, much appreciated! Think I'll price/pick up the parts needed myself and possibly tackle this myself.

Car is an 05 S on 97k, there is a very slight knocking on the offside rear on some surfaces (tuning fork play?) No creaking though.
I’d like a full refresh so it is all like new, roughly how much would this be?
-
Definitely buy one though they really are great cars!

TYRES OK ?
in 987
It will feel nicer to drive with new tyres
-
The manual/sticker will state M/S tyre size, last time we bought some it was 255 instead of 265 for summers
-
Where and how much please? Mines on 97k so starting to think about this now

Milton is bleach though potentially rotting the fabric?
I used the non gold fabsil with the UV and think it is better than an almost permanently damp roof over winter

Car lives outside and after the first bit of hard rain soon after getting the car I noticed the carpet at the bottom of the drivers door was soaking wet. The previous owner probably never noticed as I think he always garaged the car. Anyway a few minutes on youtube and I decided to try and fix it. I bought a pack of long torx drivers as the recesses are quite deep on some of the fastenings. For sizes and disconnecting the electrics then there are some good youtube vids showing this.
The bottom 3rd of the foam seal was completely perished so I removed it and cleaned the area
A new roll off ebay:
Also ordered some new clips/seals which were missing from the door card:
All back together, pretty easy job really and so far it has stayed dry! All other drain holes have been checked and I'll probably make that a regular job.

Good post!
As a note we had a 2.9 gen 2 with the 9A1 and apparently they are not direct injection, only the 3.4 has that

Sounds like a result, I’ve had PASM on previous cars and sport mode was unusable 😂
Anyway, just sent my brakes to BCS Automotive for a refurb.
